Dear Infant of Prague Catholic School Family,
We warmly welcome you and your student to Infant of Prague Catholic School! IOPCS has a commitment of providing its students with the highest quality education, both spiritually and academically. At IOPCS we provide an atmosphere where all aspects of your student’s education are considered- intellectual, physical, emotional and spiritual. We strive every day to live up to our mission to be “Christ-like in all we do.” We consider parents to be valuable partners in the educational process. IOPCS is accredited by Cognia (formerly the AdvanceEd) with oversight from the Diocesan Catholic Schools Office and the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. Curriculum areas include Religion, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Physical Education, Art, Music, and Spanish. Curriculum will be reinforced by a strong technology program that includes Accelerated and STAR Reading. Students at IOPCS will participate in the revised Iowa Test of Basic Skills in the fall.
Our Catholic identity is very important to us. Students at Infant of Prague Catholic School participate in daily religious instruction, weekly liturgy and prayer and frequent service projects. Students also have access to a number of extra-curricular activities, including volleyball, track, basketball and cheering, scouting and other activities dictated by student interests. In addition, IOPCS students frequently compete in local academic competitions and receive recognition from the Fleet Reserve, Catholic Daughters of America and other local essay contests/talent competitions.
Blessings to You,
Jennifer Feldhaus-Cupsta, Principal
