Tutor.com for U.S. Military Families, funded by the U.S. Department of Defense and Coast Guard Mutual Assistance, is a program that provides on-demand, online tutoring and homework help at no cost to eligible service members, civilian personnel, and their dependents. With live, expert tutors available 24/7, military-connected students can receive academic help at their moment of need—anywhere they have an internet connection.
Moving to a new post can spark anxiety in military families over the quality of the schools in and around a military installation. But families with children in preschool through high school can take certain actions to mitigate these concerns and help their children transition effectively to a new school. This guide has been compiled by military spouses with decades of experience in an effort to help simplify that process.
The Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) supports the continuum of care for all eligible sponsors and their family member in order to improve the quality of life for families that support a member with special medical and/or educational needs. EFMP staff and families work together to inform, educate and empower individuals to be the best advocate for themselves and/or their family member(s).
Infant of Prague Catholic School will celebrate and honor the resiliency of military-connected children for their tremendous service and sacrifice at home in the U.S. and overseas. Over 50 % IOPCS’ families and students are affiliated with a branch of the military. Please join us in celebrating during April, the month of the military child!
Folds of Honor Children’s Fund Scholarship
The Children’s Fund Scholarship program was established to provide primary and secondary scholarship assistance for dependents (Kindergarten – 12th grades) of our nation’s service members. By standing in the financial gap of the more than one million dependents adversely affected by war, Folds of Honor is honoring their sacrifice by educating their legacy.
Applications will be accepted February 1, 2021 – March 31, 2021.
SUPER STAR STUDENT PROGRAM
The Super Star Student program rewards each student in grades 1-12 who has a “B” average or higher on his/her report card. The student receives a scratch-off card and the chance to win an MCX gift card worth $5.00, $10.00, $15.00 or $20.00. There is also a chance to win a $500.00 or $1000.00 U.S. savings bond. Go to the customer service counter at the Main Exchange to get your scratch off card!
